GAC ONSITE SERVICES
GAC Rail have a highly skilled and experienced team of mechanical, application, electrical and electronic engineers that are able to cover all aspects of machine tool servicing and repair for a wide range of machine tool manufacturers. Software application engineers are also available to design, develop, integrate and trouble shoot PLC software and CNC systems.
SERVICING OR EMERGENCY REPAIRS
Service programmes can be undertaken when required or as part of a planned maintenance activity which can be scheduled during shutdown periods.
In terms of emergencies GAC understand the importance of a timely response. Once we have received authorisation for a repair, the appropriate engineers can usually be on-site within 24 hrs, and in many cases on the same day, to facilitate the fastest possible repair minimising downtime and costs.
OEM MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES
OEM maintenance schedules are applied to GAC Rail templates by our engineers which are then signed and dated as each task is completed. Any faults found that are not covered in the schedules are reported so that an appropriate course of action can be determined. This can be in the form of an immediate remedial repair or a future planned visit. On completion of the maintenance schedule, a full set of documents listing actions taken, observations and faults identified are produced and sent to the customer for their records.
Customers can then choose to act on the reports immediately or defer non-essential repairs to a later date.
MACHINE TOOL RELOCATION
GAC has significant experience relocating machine tools within an existing facility or to a new site globally. This can be a very sensitive and potentially expensive exercise if not executed correctly particularly with older machines. GAC can undertake this as a turnkey project taking responsibility for disconnection, lifting, packing, transportation and recommissioning.
TOTAL PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE
Where there is a requirement to create a TPM environment to ensure optimal trouble free running of machine tools, we work with a client to develop a detailed and controlled scheduled maintenance programme to both minimise the potential for downtime caused by breakdowns and reduce overall maintenance costs.
MACHINE TOOL SPARES
GAC Rail holds a significant range of the most commonly required spares for a wide range of machines. Parts can also be sourced for machines that are old or obsolete.
If for some reason spares are no longer available, a new precision part can be reverse engineered and manufactured.
